This post is now 2x more concentrated

Am noticing a trend of washing powders advertising that they are now ’2x more concentrated’. I for the life of me can’t understand why they are doing this.

Seriously how much washing powder do you use? One scoop per load? So with the new and improved formula, you use half a scoop? What do you gain as the consumer? I would understand 2x is more convenient if say you need multiple scoop, but this is not the case.

The only explaination i can think of is that this benifies the storage and transport side of the equation. More concentrated means that ‘more’ washing powder can fit in a smaller volume. Therefore cheaping the cost of transport and storage per unit.
